November 4 & 5, 2016 – Bridge Over Troubled Water; An Album Tribute - Don’t miss this first-time tribute to the acclaimed album of Simon and Garfunkel, Bridge Over Troubled Water, featuring Jeff Engholm. Jeff’s tributes seen previously at Chanhassen include those to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Paul McCartney and Wings. Jeff is known and loved by fans here for his role in the popular tribute to Fleetwood Mac in Pamela McNeill’s Rumours & Dreams. The song, “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” generates a unique set of feelings in people. The lyrics are so visual that taking the album down and placing it on the record player (the only real way to listen to BOTW) is like paging through a childhood photo album long lost. The record is simultaneously somber and joyous, deep and light. It’s only now, looking back across some 35 years that we get a sense of the placeholder in time that was BOTW. Released as it was in 1970, BOTW truly served as a marker between the decades, a nod to the ideals and folksy simplicity of the sixties mixed with the global complexities and inward thinking that was to dominate the decade to come. BOTW was a balm in a confusing time and it remains so today; and it boogies. We hope you enjoy your evening with “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” an album tribute. Hear songs including: “El Condor Pasa,” “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard,” “Sky,” “The Boxer,” “At the Zoo,” “Kodachrome,” “Cecilia” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”  Contact the Box Office: 952.934.1525 or visit www.chanhassendt.com for tickets.

November 26 through December 31, 2016 - Three More Wishes For Christmas - A musical comedy by Patti J. Hynes McCarthy.  Every child has dreams and wishes, especially at Christmas time.  Well, almost every child.  Isabella Morky is the exception!  At the tender age of eight she is beyond "mature for her age."  She is highly skeptical and opinionated, with little room for fantasy in her life.  Desperate for her daughter not to grow up too fast, her mother gives her a very special gift that she had once received as a child on Christmas Eve, hoping it may hold similar magic for Isabella.  Three More Wishes For Christmas is an endearing musical comedy for the holidays, and a sequel to Three Wishes For Christmas, produced by The Seasons Dinner Theater in 1993.  Join the fun as our lovable Timm Holmly revives his rols as the Genie!  Located at Majestic Oaks Golf Club, 701 Bunker Lake Blvd. NE, Ham Lake.  Order tickets online at www.majesticoaksgc.com or call 763-755-2140.
