Now Playing – The Crucible - Inspired by the McCarthy-era Communist witch hunts, Miller’s masterpiece of good and evil is being revisited at the Guthrie for the first time in four decades.  It’s 1692 and a dark magic possesses Salem. The God-fearing citizens are on their guard and no one is beyond suspicion. As investigations into witchcraft reach their height, a young woman points a finger at Elizabeth, the blameless wife of John Proctor. With powerful notions of faith and uncertainty, and truth and deception – burning as feverishly today as the day it was written – this Tony Award-winning masterpiece of the American canon is a must-see.  Under the keen direction of Joe Dowling, whose productions of Miller’s All My Sons and Death of a Salesman are raved about to this day, this stirring production features an impressive cast of more than 20 actors.  Running now through May 24, 2015 - For tickets call the Box Office at 612-377-2224 or Click Here.

November 6 & 7, 2015 - E Street Shuffle/Detroit Muscle, The Songs of Bruce Springsteen & Bob Seger - The thematic songs of Rock‘n’Roll Hall of Fame recipients Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger have provided a memorable soundtrack for anyone with a car radio or record player. The combination of the songs of these two iconic artists in one night at The Fireside Theatre will be quite frankly, unstoppable! Springsteen classics such as “Born to Run,” “Backstreets,” “Rosalita,” “Jungleland” and “Dancing in the Dark” will be joined by Seger classics such as “Mainstreet,” “Night Moves,” “Hollywood Nights,” “Get out of Denver,” “Katmandu,” “Ramblin' Man” and many more. Lead vocals will be handled by two of the most recognized, influential voices in the Twin Cities’ music scene, Mark Lickteig and Mick Sterling. The magic created by the E Street Band and the Silver Bullet Band will be duplicated by a band led by the three rocking guitars of Jody Hanks, Billy Larson and Jason Ploof, along with two keyboardists, and of course, you’ll enjoy glorious sax stylings reminiscent of both The Big Man and Alto Reed! E Street Shuffle/Detroit Muscle will unite the energies of Jersey and Detroit and blow the roof off at Chanhassen.
