Beyond that, she is poised to redefine it.  Within a year of her move to Nashville, Murphy appeared on the Grand Ole Opry close to a dozen times with some of the biggest names in Country Music. November 24 thru December 31, 2018 - I'm Listening this Christmas - A musical comedy by Patti J. Hynes McCarthy.  Running the small radio station in his home town of Walnut Lake, Minnesota, is a far cry from Jon Michael's dreams of becoming a big time disc jockey in a top Chicago market, especially managing a group of mismatched, and, shall we say, 'unique' radio announcers.  That, along with taking care of a sick parent, is proving too much for him.  Just as he is about to shut down KMAS, make this Christmas his most depressing ever, a young radio enthusiast appears on the scene, infusing a dose of optimism and Christmas cheer into everyone at the station, and the town!  Laughs, a few tears, some great Christmas music, and a deeper message of what 'success' really means, will delight people of all ages in this musical comedy.  Playing November 24th thru December 31st at Majestic Oaks Golf Club Seasons Dinner Theatre.  Order tickets online at www.majesticoaksgolfclub.com or call 763-755-2140.

November 29, 2018 – Songs and Stories with Barry Zevan - Barry ZeVan, The Weatherman” is how he was known on KSTP-TV in the mid-1970s. He holds the record for being the highest-rated television weathercaster in U.S. television history with 51 percent of the audience in July, 1974, but there’s much more to Barry than television weather casting.  He also has had a literal lifetime as an actor and singer on national television and professional stage, all chronicled in Barry's autobiography, BARRY ZeVAN, MY LIFE AMONG THE GIANTS - A MEMOIR (actor Jerry Stiller urged Barry to write the book). Now, at age 81, Barry's voice is still as strong as it was when he was a singing cast member of THE PERRY COMO SHOW for two years as one of The Ray Charles Singers, Perry's backup group. Barry's stories are truly unique and powerful, "living it" with many of the world's most influential people. The songs he sings will trigger warm nostalgic memories and he thanks you for being here to share in his resurrected joy of doing what he loves most in show business: Singing and reminiscing about many parts of his very full (and unpredictable) life.  2:00pm Matinee.  For tickets go to www.goexit205.com   or call the Box Office at 612-314-9199.
